HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1675ORDINANCE NO. /& /- AN ORDINANCE.OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN.PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R»1) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R»2). WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps. adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R"l); and WHEREAS, under the provisions of -the aforementioned.Ordinance, as amended, - a proper petition for change of zone.classification .of said property to RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R«3) has.been filed with the City Clerk of the City of -Renton, on or about January 7, 1958, which petition was. then duly amended to request such change of zone classification to RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R12), which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning,Commission for investigation and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or .about February 26, 1958, in the Council Chambers of the City of.Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said'Planning,Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition, and all interested parties having been heard in regards to said Petition, and the Planning Commission having recommended to. the City Council to rezone said property as below stated, subject to certain -conditions, and said rezoning being in the public interest; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR ._AND THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R»2), as further specified below; and the City,Engineer is. hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of"Renton to. show and evidence these changes; said property being described as follows: That portion of the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter, of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 8, Township 23 north, Range 5*Eas.t W.M., in King County,.Washing- ton, lying easterly of Primary State Highway No. 2 except the east -190 feet thereof, except the North 97.5 feet thereof and .except that portion of the remainder, described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of the above described tract, thence west along the north _line thereof 17 feet, thence south- erly in a straight line, to the southeast corner thereof, thence . north .along the east line of -said tract to -the point of beginning. -1- JP ORDINANCE NO. /& /- AN ORDINANCE.OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN.PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R»1) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R»2). SECTION -II: The Planning Commission and the City Council further find that such proposed use and the granting of .the special permit for said buildings to be constructed will not be unduly detrimental to.adjacent and surrounding, properties and the enjoyment thereof. SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY.COUNCIL this. day of -March, 1458.
