AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R»1)
TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B••1).
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the.maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been
zoned as RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R»1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended,
the City Council of the City of.Renton upon its own motion and after due consideration
petitioned for a change of zone classification of said properties to BUSINESS DIS.
TRICT USE (B••1); and the City Clerk was thereupon directed and authorized to duly
publish and post notices as provided by law and to notify all property owners
affected thereby, and WHEREAS the 1st day of July, 1958, was fixed by the City
Council as the date of hearing on said motion, and due notice of said hearing having
been published and posted as provided by law, and notices having been given to all
the property owners affected by said rezoning; and the City Council having duly con,-
sidered said matter at said hearing, and nobody appearing in opposition thereto,
and the City Council having found and determined that such rezoning would be in
the best public interest, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY -COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS.FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of
Renton is hereby zoned to BUSINESS DISTRICT USE (B-1); and the City Engineer is hereby
authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of
:Renton to show and evidence these changes; said property being described as follows:
Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 6, Renton.Real Estate Companyls 1st Addition
to Renton and the property south from the south line of Lot 1, Block
6, Renton Real Estate Company's 1st Addition to Renton to the north
line of Tobin Avenue and lying between the east line of Logan Street
and the west line of the Northern Pacific Railway Company's Lake
Washington Belt Line right of way, all located in Renton, King
County, Washington.
SECTION IT: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
