AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R»1)
TO PUBLIC .USE. (P••1).
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been.zoned
as RESIDENCE SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT (R-1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned'Ordinance, as amended,
a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to PUBLIC
USE (P.•1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about
May 12, 1958, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission
for investigation and study, and A public hearing having been held thereon on or
about June 25, 1958, in the Council Chambers, City Hall,,City of Renton, all pursuant
to Notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning
Commission having duly considered and studied said petition, and all interested
parties having been heard in regards thereto, and said Planning Commission.having
recommended to the City Council to rezone .said property as below stated; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned to PUBLIC USE (P..1) District as specified below; and the
City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning
ordinances of the City of Renton to show and evidence these changes; said property
being described .as follows:
The North 40 feet of Lots 1 and 2, Block 2,.Smithers Fourth
Addition to the Town of Renton,, according to plat recorded
in Volume 11 of Plats.,. page 19,_King County, Washington, and
the North 80 feet of Lot 3, Block 2, Smithers Fourth Addition
to the flown of Renton, according to plat recorded in Volume 11
of.Plats, page 19, records of said County.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
