AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON', CHANGING THE
ZONING:CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY
OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT '(R-3) TO MAPARTMENT HOUSES
AND MULTIPLE.DWELLINGS11 (R-4)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow described have heretofore been
zoned as RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-3); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended,
a proper petition for change of zone classification of said properties to !IAPARTMENT
HOUSES.AND MULTIPLE DWELLINGS" (R-4) has been.filed with the City Clerk of the City
of.Renton on or about.September 22, 1958, which petition was then duly submitted to
the Planning Commission for investigation and study, and a public hearing having been
held thereon on or about October 22, 1958, in the City Council Chambers of the City of
Renton, all pursuant to Notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by
law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition,
and there being no protest thereto, and said Planning Commission having recommended:
to the City Council to rezone said properties as below stated; NOW, THEREFORE,
FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of
Renton is hereby rezoned to "APARTMENT HOUSES AND MULTIPLE DWELLINGTO (R-4) as
specified below; and the City,Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change
the maps of the zoning ordinances of -the City of Renton to show and evidence these
changes; said property being described as follows:
South half of'Lot.A, Block 6, Smithers 5th Addition to Renton,
recorded in Volume 16 of Plats, Page 33, records of King County,
all located in Renton, King County,.Washington.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
