AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON_, WASHINGTON,.AMENDING SECTION 1-802 OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE), OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON". BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: Existing Section 1-802 of Title I (Administrative.),- of Administrative.),of Ordinance No. 1628, entitled "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON" reading as follows, to -wit: "Section 1-802 - VACATIONS: All -City employees after having one year full consecutive employment by the City shall be entitled to one week vacation with pay in the following year; and after having two years or more full consecutive employment by the City shall be entitled to two weeks vacation with pay in succeeding years." BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: Section 1-802 as amended; VACATIONS: Every officer or employee of the City of Renton who shall have been in the service of the City for at least one year of.consecutive employment shall be entitled to and receive one week's vacation with pay; and every such officer and employee having two years of full consecutive employment shall be entitled to two week's vacation with pay; every officer and employee having completed ten years or more of full con- ____,_ -� --r - - - ae�cufNe employment/shall be entitled t.o three week's vacation with pay. When any officer or employee shall not take a vacation to which he is entitled in any calendar year, because of the urgent need of his continuous service, and with the approval of the head of his division, such officer or employee may be allowed such vacation during the succeeding calendar year, but in no event shall any vacation not taken in the year when due, be accumulated beyond the next succeeding calendar year. All vacations shall be taken at such time as shall be approved by the head of the division or department in which the person entitled thereto serves, or in the case of an officer, by the Mayor. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 7 day of January, 1959. Elton L.
