HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1721ORDINANCE NO. 1-7 ) / AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R2) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-4, MULTIPLE DWELLING). WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2); and WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended, a proper.petition for change of zone classification of said property to RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-4,.MULTIPLE DWELLING) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of _Renton, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission _ .. for investigation, study and hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about January 14, 1959, in the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and 'posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition, and there being no oral or written protest thereto; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcels of property in the City of Renton are hereby rezoned to RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-4, MULTIPLE DWELLING) as specified below; and the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance of the City of Renton to show and evidence these changes; said property being described As: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Block 6, Car Works Addition to Renton, all located in the City of Renton, King County, Washington, and said re -zoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton and in compliance with the plans and specifications heretofore submitted by petitioner - owner of said property. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 3rd day of February, 1959.
