AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY DF RENTON, WASHINGTON$ AMENDING
SECTION 5-1908 OF TITLE V (BUSINESS REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1628 ENTITLED }CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
RENTON$%
BE IT'ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Section 5-1908 of Title V (Business Regulations),
of:Ordinance No. 1628 entitled ENCODE OF GENERAL -ORDINANCES DF THE CITY OF RENTON11
reading as follows:
"Section 5-1908 - TAXICAB ZONES: There are hereby established
the following taxicab .zones in the City, and such zones shall
be.assigned by the Council at the time of the issuing of licenses
as provided:
(a) Main .Street, on the east side .from a point 126 feet
north of the north marginal line of Third Avenue to
a point 156 feet north of said marginal line.
-(b) Main Street, on the west side, between Third .Avenue
and Walla Walla Avenue.
(c) Wells Street on the West side from a point 20 feet
north of the north marginal line of Third Avenue to
a point 40 feet north of said north line.
(d) Wells Street on east side from a point 20 feet south
of the south marginal line of Third Avenue to a point
.40 feet south of the marginal line.
IlProvided, however, that there shall not be more than one taxicab.,
parking in said taxicab zone at any one time. It shall be unlawful
for any taxicab to park in any parking meter zone on Third Avenue
except for the purpose of.picking up passengers upon call, and the
dischargi.ng.of passengers."
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 5-1908 as amended: - TAXICAB ZONES: There are hereby established
the following taxicab zones in the City, and such.zones shall be assigned by the
Council at the time of the issuing of licenses as provided in this.Ordinance:
(a) Main .Street, on the east side from a point 126 feet north
of the north marginal line of Third Avenue to a point 156
feet north of said marginal linea
(b) Main Street, on the west side, between Third Avenue and
Walla Walla Avenue.
(c) Wells Street on the West side from a point 20 feet north of
the north marginal line of Third Avenue to a point 40 feet
north of said north line.
(d) Wells Street on east side from a point 20 feet south of the
south marginal line of Third Avenue to a point .40 feet south
of the marginal line.
(e) Wells Street on.the east side from a point 38 feet north of
the north marginal line of Third Avenue to a point 60 feet
north of said north line.

Provided, however, that there shall not be more than one taxicab
parking in said taxicab zone at any one time. It shall be unlawful for any
taxicab to park in any parking meter zone except for the purpose of picking up
passengers upon call, and the discharging of passengers.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication.
