HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1741Q ORDINANCE NO. 17V/ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (SI) to HEAVY INDUSTRY DISTRICT (Hl) WHEREAS under Ordinance No. 1172 as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as SUBURBAN RESIDENCE DISTRICT (S1); and WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance�as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to HFAVY INDUSTRY DISTRICT (Hl) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton, on or about February 16, 1959, which petition was then submitted to the Planning Commission for investigtion, public bearing and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about March 11, 1959, in the Council Chrbers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice, of Hearing duly published and pos ted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition, and there being no oral or written protest thereto; NOfnT THEREFORE, AS FOLLOWS: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Heavy Industry District (Hl) as specified below; the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as: Beginning at the southeast corner of the intersection of Primary State Highway No. 5 (92nd Avenue South) and Secondary State Highway 1L (Grady Way); thence easterly along the scath margin of Secondary State Highway 1L to its point of intersection with 8th Avenue extended westerly; thence easterly along 8th Avenue to the west section line of Section 20, Township 23 North, Range 5 East W.M.; thence northerly along said Section line to the north Section line of Section 20, Township 23 North, Range 5 East W.M., thence easterly along said north section line of Section 20, Township 23 North, Rage 5 East W.M. to the westerly margin of Secondary State Highway No. 5C (Benson Road); thence southerly along said westerly margin of Secondary State Highway No. 5C and Talbot Road to a point . of intersection with the northern margin of Primary State Highway No. 1 as proposed; thence westerly along said northern margin of P.S.H. No. 1 as proposed to its point of intersection with Primary State Highway No. 5 (92nd South); thence northerly along easterly margin of Primary State Highway No. 5 to point of beginning# all located in Renton, King County, Washington. Said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton and in compliance with the plans and specifications heretofore submittedby petitioner - owner -,-of said property. SECTION U. This Ordinance shall be in fall farce and eifbct from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, this day ce March, 1959.
