I 7 V)" AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON', ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON, WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1955 Session Laws of the State of Washington, as amended, a petition in writing. requesting that certain territory contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton, hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to. the City of Renton, was presented and filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on April 3, 1959, which petition was then examined and checked by the City Engineer and Planning Director of the City of Renton to verify theisignatures of said petitioners and to determine the assessed valuation of properties of the petitioners, and WHEREAS it has been duly determined that said petition contained the signatures of the owners of more than seventy-five per cent (75%) in value according to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the territory for which annexation is petitioned herein, which petition sets forth the legal description of the property according to governmental legal subdivision or plats, and was.aca)mpanied by a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed; and the Planning Commission of the City of Renton having heretofore considered and recommended the annexing of said property to the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Renton fixed Tuesday, April 14, 1959, at 8:00 P.M, at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Renton as the time and place for public hearing upon the said petition, and a notice of said hearing specifying the time and place thereof,- inviting all in. terested persons to appear thereat and voice approval or disapproval of or objections to the proposed annexation, .has been duly published as provided by law, and true copies of said notice having been duly posted in at least three public places within the territory proposed for annexation as provided by law; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such notice a public hearing on said petition has been held by the City Council of the City of Renton at the time and place specified in aforesaid notice, to»wi.t,.April 14, 1959, at 8:00 P.M., and all interested parties having been heard thereon, and the Council having given due regard and consideration to all matters in connection with said petition .and annexation, and the City Council deeming it to the best interests of the City of Renton to grant such petition in all respects, NOW THEREFORE, -1f N 't BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: Pursuant to the provisions of'Chapter 128 of the 1955 Session Laws of the State of Washington, as amended,- it is determined that the abovemen. tioned petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the property and territory hereinbelow described be and it is hereby approved and granted; and the following described property, being contiguous to the .City Limits of 'the City of .Renton, situated in King County, -State of Vashington, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton, and such annexation to be effective on and after the approval, passage and publication of this Ordinance, and on and after that date said territory shall constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances then thereafter enforced; said property being described as follows: Benning at the intersection of the south -line of South 180th Street with the east line of Primary State Highway No 5, said intersection being in Section 31•.235; thence north along the east line of Primary State Highway No. 5,. to the north line of South 156th Street; thence east along the north line of South 156th Street to.the west line of.Lot 42, Block 7, C.D. Hillmants Earlington Gardens DM Sion No. 1; thence northerly along the west lines of Lots 42 to 62 inclusive in Block 7, C. D. Hillmans Earlington Gardens Division No. 1; thence northerly across 10th.Place South to the west line of Lot 63, Block 7, C. D. Hillmants Earlington Gardens Division No. 1; thence northerly along the west lines of Lots .63.and 64 said Block 7 to the northrili.ne of Lot 64 said Block 7; thence east along the north line of Lots 64 and 65 to the west line of Lot 6, said Block 7; thence north along the west line of said Lot 6 to the south line of 10th Avenue South; thence east along the south line of 10th Avenue South to the west line of Lake Street South; thence north along the west line of Lake Street South to the south line of 9th Avenue South; thence west along the south line of 9th Avenue South to the east line of Primary State Highway No. 5; thence north along the east line of Primary State Highway No. 5 to the north line of the Pacific Coast Railroad; thence west along the north line of the Pacific Coast -Railroad to the easterly line of .the City of Seattle power line right of way easement; thence northerly along the easterly line of said City of Seattle power line right of way easement to the southerly shore lands line of Black River,. -as platted in.Supplemental Map of Renton Shore Lands filed with the County Auditor of King County on Segttember 29, 1958 by the .State of Washington Department of Natural Resources; thence westerly along said platted southerly shore lands line to the easterly platted shore lands line; thence southerly along the said easterly platted shore lands line to the.north line of the.Pacific Coast Railroad; thence west along the north line of the Pacific Coast Railroad to the west line of Lot 4, Block 18, Earlington Addition to. Renton; thence north along the west line of said Lot 4, to the south line of 6th Avenue West; thence west along the south line of 6th Avenue West to the west line of Lot 24, Block 14, Earlington Addition to Renton produced south; thence north. -along the west line of said Lot 24 produced south to the south line of the alley in Block 14; thence west along the south line of the alley in said Block 14 to the west line of Lot 7 in said Block 14; thence north along the west line of said Lot 7 to the north line of said Block 14; thence west along -the north line of said Block 14 produced west to the west line of Lot 15, Block 13, Earlington Addition to Renton; thence north along the. -west line of said Lot 15 to the south line of Sunset Boulevard West (Primary State Highway No. 2RE); thence west along the «2P S south .line of ;Sunset Boulevard Vest to.a point on a line which bears North 17010# West to the southeast corner of Lot 24. -Block 15,-Earlington Addition to Renton, said lot corner being on the north line of 5th -Avenue West; thence westerly along .the north line of 5th Avenue West to the northerly line of Primary State Highway No. 2RE; thence northwesterly along the northerly line of Primary State Highway No. 2RE to the easterly line of 81st Avenue South; thence southwesterly along the easterly line of 81st Avenue South produced southwesterly to the south line of.South 140th Street; - thence westerly and southwesterly along the southerly line of South 140th Street to the northerly line.of the -Pacific Coast Railroad; thence north» westerly, westerly and norti�westerly along the northerly line of the Pacific Coast -Railroad to the northwesterly line of Tract 28A, Junction Additton to Seattle; thence southwesterly along the northwesterly line of said Tract 28A produced southwesterly to the westerly line of the Northern Pacific Railway; thence southeasterly along the westerly line of the Northern Pacific Railway to the southerly line of the old Black River Channel; thence easterly along the southerly line of the old Black River Channel to the south line of the Monster Road (South 143rd Street); thence easterly along the south line of said .Monster Road and'continuing southerly along the west line of said Monster Road (72nd Avenue South) to the northerly line of the Northern Pacific.Railway; thence northwesterly along the, northeasterly line of the Northern Pacific Railway to a point on a.line which bears southwesterly to the angle point on the corporate limits line of the City of Tukwila; thence southeasterly along the said -corporate limits line of the City of Tukwila to the westerly line of the.Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul and Pacific Railway and Union Pacific Railway; thence southerly along the westerly line of the Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul and Pacific Railway and Union Pacific Railway to the north line of Nelson Place; thence westerly and southerly along the northerly and westerly line of -Nelson ,'lace produced south to the south line of South 153rd..Street; thence east along the south line of South 153rd Street to the west line of the Northern Pacific Railway; thence south along the west line of the.Northern Pacific Railway to a point on a line 410 feet more .or less north from.the south line of the Henry Meader Donation Claim No. 46; thence .west along the line 410 feet north more or less from the south .line of said.Henry Meader Donation Claim No. 46 to the east line of Secondary State .Highway No. 5M; thence south along the east line of.Secondary State Highway No. 5M to the north corporate limits line of the City of Tukwila; thence east along the north city limits 1 i ne of the City of Tukwila to the west line of the .
