AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSTFICA TION OF 'CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R2) TO BUSINESS
DISTRICT (Bl)
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned
as RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R2); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended,
the City Council of the City of Renton upon its own motion and upon the request of the
Planning Commission, and after due consideration thereof, petitioined for change of
zone classification of said properties to BUSINESS DISTRICT (Bi), and the City Clerk
was thereupon directed and authorized to duly publish and post notices as provided
by law and to notify all property owners affected thereby; and
WHIGS, the 19th day of May, 1959, was fixed by the City Council as the
date of hearing on said motion, and due notice of said hearing having been published
and posted as provided by law, and the City Council having duly considered said matter
at said hearing, and said matter having been referred to the Planning Commission and
its report being on file herein, and said rezoning is hereby found and determined to be
in the public interests NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AIM THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
FOLLO195 :
SECTION I: The following described parcels of property in the City of
Renton are hereby rezoned to BUSINESS DISTRICT (Bl) use, and the City Engineer is hereby
authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton
to show and evidence these changes; said properties being described as follows:
That certain area lying between 2nd Avenue on the North;
Seattle Pipe Line on, the South; Shattuck Street on the
West and the rear lot line of lots on the west side of
Logan Street to the East, all located in Renton, King
County, Washington
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
