HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1783ORDINANCE NO. f �� AN ORDINANCE OF.THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R6) TO HEAVY INDUSTRY DIS- TRICT (H-1) WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R6) under the Sing County Zoning Regulations; arra MEREAS, said property has heretofore been duly annexed to the City of Renton; arra. WHEREAS, under the provisions df the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to HEAVY INDUSTRY DISTRICT (H-1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton, on or about June 9, 1959, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation, public hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about July 8, 1959, in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition, and there being no oral or written protest thereto; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TMYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RE11TON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to HEAVY INDUSTRY DISTRICT (H-1) as specified below; the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zon- ing ordinances of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property be- ing described as follows: Lots 1 to 16 inclusive; Lots 30 to 40 inclusive, all in Block 14, C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gardens Division No. 1; and Lots 21 and 22; Blcck 12, C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gar- dens, Division No. 1, all located in Renton, King County, V7ashington, -1. and said rezoning to be subject' to the laws and ordinances of the City of Ren- ton, and subject to the determination and control by the City Engineering De- partment, pertaining to all matters of ingress and egress for vehicular traf- fic from and to the herein described prerflises, and adjoining roadways. SECTION IIs This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 21st day of July, 1959. Elton L.
