HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1799ORDINANCE NO./ 7 71q AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, FIXING THE .AMOUNT OF TAX LEVIES NECESSARY TO MEET THE AMOUNT OF ESTIMATED EXPENSES FOR THE YEAR 1960 LESS THE TOTAL ESTIMATED REVENUES FROM SOURCES .OTHER THAN TAXATION, INCLUDING AVAILABLE SURPLUS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE.MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The total amount of estimated expenditures required for the City of.Renton for the year 1960 is the sum of $2,944,342.00. The total estimated revenues from sources other than taxation, including available surplus, is the sum of $2,210,211.00; therefore, the amount necessary to be raised by taxation is the sum of $734,131.00. SECTION II: There is hereby levied and assessed against the taxable property, real and personal, within the corporate limits of the City of Renton, Washington, for the purpose of raising the necessary revenues for said City for the year 1960, the following amounts,. to -wit: (Total Assessed Valuation - $46,808,665.00) For Current Expense Fund . . . . . . . 12.657 mills - For Cumulative Reserve Fund #1184. . . .228 mills - For Cumulative Reserve Fund #1689. . . .069 mills - For Cumulative Reserve Fund #1698 for Fire Department. . . . . . . . .396 mills - For Depreciation Reserve Fund. . . . . .197 mills - For Firemen's Pension Fund . . . . . . 1.000 mills For General Obligation Bonds .453 mills - TOTAL . . . . . 15.000 mills Excess Millage General Obligation Bonds . . . . . . . .806 mills TOTAL. . . . . . . . . . . $ 592,500.00 10,652.00 3,242.00 18,528.00 9,264.00 46,808.00 21,136.00 $ 702,130.00 32,001.00 $ 734,131.00 (NOTE: Excess Levy based on valuation of $39,733,509.00) S9CTION III: A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be transmitted to the King County Commissioners and such other governmental agencies as provided by law.
