AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHAMING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENTIAL(R-9.6) AND AGRICULTURAL (A-1) TO LIGHT INDUSTRY DISTRICT (L-1). WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1172, as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as RESIDENTIAL (R-9.6) and AGRICULTURAL (A-1) under the King County zoning regulations and said property now being located within the City Limits of the City of Renton; and WHEREAS.. under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property to LIGHT INDUSTRY (L-1) has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about September 22, 1959, which petition was then duly submitted to the P7aming Commission for investigation, public hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about November 12., 1959, in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing duly pub" lished and posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said Petition, and there being no oral or written protest thereto; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS MLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to LIGHT INDUSTRY (L-1) as specified below; the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinances of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: Beginning at the point of Intersection of the easterly .margin of State Highway No. 5 with the southerly boundary of the NW oof the SE of Sec. 30 Twp. 23, Range 5, MM; thence easterly along said southerly boundary of the NW 4 of the SE 4 of Sec. 30, Twp. 23, Range 5, EUM for a distance of 300 feet; thence southerly and southwesterly on a line parallel to and 300 feet from the easterly margin of State Highway No. 5 to the northerly margin of South 180th St.; thence westerly along the northerly margin of South 180th St* to the easterly margin of State Highway No. 5; thence northeasterly and northerly along the easterly margin of State Highway No. 5 to the point of beginning. All situated in King County, Washington. -1- I Y � and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton and subject to the determination and°caitroi`by the City Engineering Department pertaining to all matters of ingress and egress for vehicular traffic from and to the herein described premises. SECTION IIs This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
