AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PLAT OF RENTON HIGHLANDS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Renton:
SECTION I: WHEREAS the United States of America, acting by and
through the Rousing and Home Finance Agency, Public Housing Administrat-
ion, as owner of the property hereinafter mentioned, has filed with
the City of Renton three copies'of a proposed Plat, in final form, with
written request for approval of the recording thereof, and the City
Engineer has approved same, and said owner has executed the dedication
thereon duly acknowledged; and proper certificates have been filed as
required by State law and City Ordinpnee, and said plat has been hereto-
fore submitted to the Planning Commissi on of t he City of Renton, a nd
said Planning Commission has duly approved said Plat for recording, and
recommended in writing to the City Council the approval thereof; and
YEEREAS the City Clerk has caused notice of hearing thereon to be
duly posted in three conspicuous places in the area proposed for platting,
and notice to be mailed to property owners, all in the time and manner
required by law and ordinance, said notice specifying that hearing there-
on will be held at 8 P. M. on April 5, 1949, by the City Council of
Renton; and public hearing having this date been held by the City Council
at the time and place indicated in said notice, and no objections being
presented to said Plat;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council finds and determines that the
public interest will be served and advantaged by the approval and
dedication and recording of such Plat, and does hereby approve ,the
said Plat and the recording thereof in King County, Washington, and
approves the platting of the property described therein as shown on said
Plat, and approves and accepts -the dedication of streets, alleys, public
places, and utilities, inciuding water lines, sewage lines, electrical
and gas transmission lines, as shown on said Plat and/or as actually
existing on the ground in said plattegi area; and the City Engineer and
Mayor of the City of Renton are hereby authorized to sign and endorse
upon said Plat the approval and confirmation thereof on behalf of the
City of Renton. The Plat herein referred to and approved is: "Plat of
Renton Highlands°1-
(trash-45059) a sub -division of portions of Sections
8 and 9.. Twp* 23 North, Range 5 'E.W.M.," situated
in the City of Renton, State of Washington. The
property platted and referred to herein is as shown
and described on said Plat, reference being had thereto.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five
days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication,,.
