AN ORDINANCE RMULATING THE DISPENSING OF GASOLINE,
PROHIBITING THE OPERATING OF SELF-SERVICE GASOLINE
FILLING STA,TIONS,AND PRESCRIBING :PENALTIES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON:
-SECTION-I:. Lt shall be unlawful to operate a self-
serving gasoline filling station; and no gasoline shall be
dispensed into the fueltanks- of motor vehicles or other
containers at a public garage, public service station, or
other public dispenser, except by the owner, operator,
or the regularly authorized employees thereof.
SECTION 2: Violationoor failure - to comply -with this
Ordinance shall subject the offender 'to a fine not "to -
exceed $100.00, or by imprisonment in -the city jail for
a term of not to exceed 30 days, or both -such fine and
imprisonment, and each day of sueh.violation or failure
to comply shall be considered a separate offence.
SECTI ON 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect five days from and after its passage, approval
and publication, as provided by law.
