NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON
PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO.. 1362
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND
APPROPRIATING MONIES FROM THE VARIOUS CITY FUNDS FOR THE PUi;FOSE OF PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT
OF THE NECESSARY EXPENSES AND CAPITAL OUTLAY NECESSITATED BY SUCH EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, since the a doption of the 1949 annual budget for the City of Renton,
Washington, it has become necessary to provide for the purchase of certain materials,
services, and to meet other expense w which were not foreseeable at the time of the pre—
paration of the 1949 budget,
AND WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration, operation and maintenance
of the City and its departments, to appropriate sums for and out of the several City funds
as hereinafter set forth, for the payment of expenses and capital outlay, N0W THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
SECTION 1: That the foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found and
determined by the City Council to be true and existing, and by reason thereof the Council
does hereby declare that an emergency exists.
SECTION 2: That there be�and hereby are allowed and established the following
sums for expenditure in each of the following classifications established in said 1949
budget, and said sums are appropriated for expenditure in the following classifications,
same being in addition to the provisions of said 1949 annual budget, to wit:
DEPARTMENT OPERATION CAPITAL
AN FUND AND MAINT. OUTLAY TOTAL
CURRENT WENSK FUND
Taxes and assessments 2,700,00 2,700.00
WATER DEPARTMENT FUND
Power 21,500.00 2,500.00
Water main pipe and meters 30,000.00 30,000,00

SECTION 3: This Ordinance is an emergency Ordinance which shall not be voted
upon until one week shall have elapsed after its introduction, and a copy thereof shall
be published as a proposed Ordinance, together with a notice of the time set for voting
thereon.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication.

At the public hearing on the foregoing Ordinance, held at the regular meeting of
the City Council, December 6, 1949, no protests or objections having been submitted, either
orally or written, the Ordinance was passed this 6th day of December, 1949:
