THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 946 of said city, reading as follows That hereafter so long as the City of Renton shall be divided into three (3) wards, there shall be allotted each ward two (2) councilmen, and there shall be allotted to the city as a whole, one (1) councilman -at - large. is hereby amended to read as follows: Hereafter so long as the City of Renton shall be divided into three (3) wards, there shall be allotted each ward four (4) councilmen. Section 2. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 946 reading as follows The councilmen allotted to each ward shall be nominated by the qualified electors of such ward and elected by the qualified electors of the City as a whole. The councilman -at -large shall be nominated and elected by the qualified electors of the entire city. is hereby amended to read as follows: r The councilmen allotted to each ward shall be nominated by the qualified electors of such ward and elected by the qualified electors of the city as a whole. Section 3. This ordinance shall.be in full force and effect five days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law; and shall govern the nomination and election of city councilmen for said city as a second-class city in elections hereafter held.
