HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1305ORDINANCE NO. 1305 AN ORDINANCE of the City of Renton limiting parking of motor vehicles on Third Avenue from Morris Street to the West City Limits; establishing a Parking Meter Zone; and providing penalties for violation thereof. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. no motor vehicles shall be parked for more than one hour at any point on Third Avenue between Morris Street and the West City Limits, in the City of Renton. Section 2. The above described portion of Third Avenue between Morris Street and the West City Limits is hereby designated and estab- lished as a parking meter zone, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to provide for the installation of parking meters and/or parking signs thereon, including curb or street marking lines, and for the regulation and operation thereof, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1143. Section 3. Violation of any provision hereof, or of any rule or regulation established hereunder, by any person, firm or corporation shall be punishable upon conviction thereof by a fine not exceeding $50.00 or imprisonment not to exceed ten days or by both such fine and imprisonment* Section 4. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed addi- tional to and not in derogation of Section 33, Chapter 7, of Ordinance No. 1048 and any amendments thereof. Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days from and after its passage, approval and publication. Passed by the City Council on the 17th day of February 1948.
