ORDINANCE NO. 1333
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINC-TON, ANNEXING TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF RENTON.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session
Laws of the State of Washington a petition in writing requesting that
certain property contiguous to the City limits of the City of Renton
hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed to the City of
Renton, was presented and filed with the City Council on the 15th day
of November, 1948, bearing the signatures of the owners of more than
seventy -rive (75%) in value according to assessed valuation for general
taxation of the property for which annexation is petitioned therein,
which petition sets forth a legal description of the
property according
to government legal sub -division or legal plats, and is accompanied
by plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of the territory sought to
be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Renton by its Resolution No. 717
adopted December 7, 1.948, fixed Tuesday the 21st day of December 1948
at 8:00 P. M. at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall in the
City of Renton, Washington, as the time and place for a public hearing
upon said petition, and a notice of said hearing specifying the time
and place thereof, and inviting all interested persons to appear thereat
and voice approval or disapproval of or objections to the proposed
annexation, has been duly publishedfin the Renton News Record, a legal
newspaper of general circulation in the City of Renton and in the area
to be annexed, and true copies of said notice have been duly posted in
three (3) public, places within the territory proposed for annexation,
more than one week prior to said date of hearing; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such Resolution and notice, a public hearing
on said petition has been held by the City Council of Renton at the time
and place specified in aforesaid notice, to -wit: Dec"ber 21, 1948, at
8:00 P. M., and no objection written or oral to the proposed annexation
having been filed or made at such 4earing, and the granting of said
petition being deemed proper and advisable; now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RE'NTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 128 of the
1945 Session Laws of the State of Wa�hington it is determined that the
above mentioned petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the
property and territory hereinbelow described be and it hereby is
approved and granted, and the following described property, being
contiguous to the city limits of the City of Renton and situated in
King County, State of 4ashington, be andt he same hereby is annexed to the
City of Renton, effective on and after the first day of January 1949,
and on and after that date said territory shall constitute a part of the
Cityof Renton and shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances of the
City of Renton then and thereafter in force; said property being des-
cribed as follows:
Portion of Sections 8 and 91, Twp. 23 North, Range 5
E. W. M� more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the quarter (g) corner common to Sections
8 and 9, Twp. 23 North, Range 5 E. W. M6, running
thence north along section line North 0 57145" East
955.081 to the existing city limit line and true point
of beginning; thence West along city lim�t line North
89032116" West, 1060.031• thence South 0 56110" West
331.551; thence Nort.-.b152" West, 264.981; thence
South 0°56136" West ,',56'3:021 ; thence North 89002121"
West,184.051; thence South 8028159" West; 102.681 to
East and West center line of Section 8, Twp. 23 North
Range 5 E.W.M.; thence along said section line .to its
intersection with the west line of State Highway No.
2; thence northerly and easterly and southerly along
said line of said highwaty to its intersection with the
existing city limit line; thence south along said city
limit line South 0049115" West 440.301; thence North
88053144" West, 322.301 to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2:
The above described annexed property being contiguous
to the Fiftli Precinct, of the Ezbt.s:t' Ward of the City of Renton, shall
be and constitute a part of said Flft-4 Precinct of the FUn,V, Ward of
said City of Renton.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five
(5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law; and said annexation shall be effective on and after

the f 4t* day of January 1949; and a certified copy of this
Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of
King County, Washington.
