ORDINANCE NO. 1336
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN TRACTS IN THE CITY OF RENTOI'v FROM
RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL USE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1164 and the maps adopted in con-
junction therewith as amended, the tract hereinbelow described has hereto-
fore been zoned as residential use district; and
WHEREAS under the provisions of Section XV of aforesaid Ordinance a
proper petition for change of zone classification of said tract to
commercial use has been filed with the Clerk of the City of Renton and
the Planning Commission of said City having recommended such change of
classification and public hearing having been held on said petition by
the City Council pursuant to notice regularly published and no protests
having been made or filed, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described tract in the City of Renton is
hereby rezoned and reclassified as a commercial use district, and the
City Engineer is hereby directed to change the maps of the zoning ordinance
of the City to show this change, said tract being described as follows:
The area beginning at intersection of westerly line of D. C.
Mitchell County Road and northerly margin of City of Seattle, _
Cedar River Pipe line right -of -wag; thence north 20 181 49"
East 275.02 feet; thence North 89 51' 1111 west parallel to
said pipe line R/W 3.02 feet, the true point of beginning
thence North 890 511 11" West 1ff0.5 feet; thence S. 60
49" W. 75.47 feet; thence S. 89 51'11" East 159.08 feet
more or less to westerly line of State Highway No. 5; thence
Northerly along said westerly line 75.01 feet to true point
of beginning free of incumbrances, except a 12 foot driveway
easement as recorded in records of King County, State of
Washington.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect five
days from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
Passed by the City Council this 21st day of December 1948.
