HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 12951 a ORDINANCE NO. 12-15- 10 11 2-r'- Repealed by Ordinance No. 4016 4V_dJ4 pr.r'e y� AN ORDINANCE Relating to a pension, relief, disability, and retirement system; making an election to join the state- wide system pursuant to Chapter 71, Laws of 1947, and providing for notification of the Governor of such election. The City Council of the City of Renton, Washington, do ordain as follows; Section 1. That the City of Renton has and does hereby elect to participate in the state-wide system for pension, relief, disability, and retirement for city employees provided for by Chap. 71, Laws of 1947; that all employees and officers of said city shall be included in said system; except all city firemen; Provided, That no elective official shall be included unless such official so elects and files a written notice of such election with the Board of Trustees of said pension system and with the City Clerk. Section 2. That the number of employees and officials, - aside from the elective officials, who shall be included as members of said pension system i4 approximately eighty-five. Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance shall be transmitted to the Governor of the State as evidence of the election of the city to join such pension system. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect on the first day of January 1948. e it Council this day of December,1947.
