AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CREATING THE
OFFICE OF CITY PURCHASING AGENT, PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENT BY THE
MAYOR, AND PROVIDING THE METHOD AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR
SAID OFFICER, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE #1180 OF THE CITY OF RENT ON,
WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, due to the great increase in work it is necessary to
city
create the office of/purchasing agent, and to provide for the
appointment of such officer, fix his compensation and provide for
the payment of said compensation.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington,
dt% ordain as follows:
SECTION li There shall be and is created the office of City
Purchasing Agent, which office shall be filled by appointment by the
Mayor.
SECTION 2: That the compensation for the office of City Purchasing
Agent shall be fixed at the time of adopting the budget for each year.
SECTION 3: That Ordinance #1180 of the City of Renton, Washington,
be and the same hereby is repealed.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on
June 5, 1945, after its passage, approval and legal publigation as
provided by law.
