HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1237ORDINANCE NO. 1237� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CREATING THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY REGISTRAR OF VOTERS, PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR, AND.PROVIDING THE METHOD OF FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR SAID OFFICE. WHEREAS, due to the great increase of work in the registration of voters it is necessary to create the office of Deputy Registrar of Voters, and to provide for the appointment of such officer, fix the compensation and provide for the payment of said compensation. Now, therefore, the City Council of the City of Renton, Washington do ordain as follows: Section 1: There shall be and hereby is created the office of Deputy Registrar of Voters, which office shall be filled be appointment by the mayor. Section 2: That the compensation for the office of Deputy Registrar of Voters shall be fixed at the time of adopting the budget for each year. Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on January 1, 1946, after its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law.
