�fiEREA$, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Renton, �ashington there was brought to the attention of said City Coun-
cil the matter . of the hearing on the above Petition, ax�.
�7F�R.F,AS under the provisions of Remingtozt's Revised Statutes,
Section 11607 provision is made �or protests being filed against the
inclusion of ar�y p�operty within said district when such property has
I � been "anjustly or impro�ie,rly included w ithin the proposed Pablic IItility
District and ara ll not be benefited by inclusion therein,K a.nd
VIHEREAS if said Public Utility District is formed and takes over
�the operation of the private po�aer company now serving said territory
the �tax revenues of t he City of Rent on will be reduced by approgimately
sub tituted
fifty percent with no other income from ar�p source �n lieu thereof, and
tnIHEREA$, we as members of the City Cauncil of the City of Renton
� feel that in order to maintain our City government �,:t anywhere near
the standard now maintained it is absolu�ely necessary to find other
and diPferent aources of revenue to Caver the egpenses thereof, and
��HEREAS, we believe that the City of Renton would be in a rmzch
better position ta-� :pr.ovide other revenues to take the place of the
ta.z revenue�,wliich would unquestionably be lost by the formation of
this district, .�.f � separate and distinct unit outside of said power
dis�rict,
• IJ0�1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Conncil of the City of
Rentan that we �protest the inclusion of a11 property within the corp-
orate limits of the City of Renton �aithin said Rzblic IItility Diatrict

County Commissioners of Bing County, �lashing�on to egclude said
corporate limits of the City of Renta�n from said Publie Utility
' District and that we hereby appoint 0. N. Cochran, �ayor of the
City of Renton as our representative to appear at the hearing on
this matter and give him authority, by appearance and testimony be—
fore the Board of County Commiesioners, to protest the incluaion oP
the corporate limits of the City of Renton in said.Public IItility
District.
