V�REAS, the Department of Highways has estimated that the
receipts vrhich will accrue to the 'credit�}of this c ity under the
provisions of Chapter 181, 1939 lavTs, for the period April 1, 1939
to NTarch 31, 1941, will be Sixteen thousand eight hundred eighteen
Dollars & 90/100 (�16, 818.90) and
Vy'HEREAS, there is an unexpended balanee of �'unds which
�ccrued to the credit of -this city during the period o� April 1,
1937 to March 31, 1939 of Ei�.ht hundred fo�ty-nine �_.:66/i00; ��
(�849.66) Dollars, and
iJ�RLAS, the total Punds available for espenditure during
the period April 1, 1939 to March 31, 1941 is therefore estimated
to be Seventeen thousand six hundred sixty-eight and 56/100 Dollars �
�17,668.56; and
4'lHERE1�S, the Department of Highways does request that this
city adopt a formal pro�ram setting forth the uses to which it sha�ll
put the above named sum of money in accordanee with the pro visions of
the above named statute;
NOW THEREFO�E, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council
of the City o� Renton in regular meeting duly assembled, as follows:
1. That based upon estimated receipts as aforesaid the fol-
lowing is proposed as the ttems covering expenditures oP said city
f'rom the City Street Fund for the biennium eo�encin� April 1, 1939,
and ending March 31, 1941.

2. That should sueh receipts eaceed the estimate aforesaid,
such excess sgall be expended by the city in the manner provided by
' law, sub�ect to the approval of the Department of Iiighways.

3. That the City Clerk be, and is hereby, instructed �
to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Department of Highways.
Adopted by the Mayor and Cit� Council, this 19th day of
March 1940.
