TENDENT OF STREETS AND UTIZIT� AND THE FOR�+IAN OF CONSTRIICTIUN

Wf�AS, due to the great influx of population into the
City oP Renton and the eonstruction of the sewage disposal plant,
it has become necessary for the City oP Renton to create the of'fices
of 3uperintendsnt of Strests and Utilities and of Foreman oY Con-
struation and Maintenance and set salaries for said oPficers, and
W�[EREAS, in the preparation o�' the bud�e� for the Year 1943
the creation of and the necessity for said off icers could not
reasonably have been forseen, and
WHEE�F�, it is neeessary to appropriate the gum oP �880.8�
out of the water ftu3.d and the sum of �1750.00 out oP the atreet
fund to provide Punds for the payment oP the salaries of such
ofPicers.
N0� T��ORE, the City Counc3l of the City of Ren�Gon do
ordain as follows:
SECTION I: that from the fore oi acts he eb
g ng P r y found by the
Council to be true, the Council does hereby declare that an
emergency eaists.
SECTION II: That there be and hereby is apgropriated out of
the Wa�,er Department the surn of �884.88 an.d out of the City Street
Fund the sum ot' �1750.00 into the salaries and wages classiPication _
of the bud�et Por the year 1943. This s�propriation is made to
provide the funds Yor the payment o� the sal�ry oP the S�zperintendent
of Streets and Utilities and the Foreman oY Constrt�ction and �dainten-
an:ee, which offiees and salaries have heretofore been established bq
ordinance and resolution of the City Coun.cil of the �ity of Renton.
SLCTION III: This ordinance is an emergenay ordinanoe and sha21
not be voted upon until one week shall have elapsed at'ter its intro-
duction and a copy hereof shall be published as a proposed ordinance
together with a no�ice of the time set Por votin� hereon.
SLCTION IV: This ordinance shall be in full foree and ef'fect
five days from and after its pas�age, approval and legal publication.
