WHER�, when. making the budget Por the year 1943, it was not
and could not reasonably hage forseen that it would be necessary to
construct a pumping station for the City �,rater system, and

W�EAS, it became neeessary on account oP the inereased
population and inereased use oP water from the m.unieipal water
system, to construet a pumpin� station and connect it with the
water syst�m and it has been neceasary to expend Q large sum of
money from the capital outlay item oP the water system budget and
said item has becom� depleted.
Now therefore, the City Council of the City of Renton, Wash-
ington do ordain as Pollows :
SECTION 1: That there be and hereby is appropriated Prom the
� surplus water funds, in addition to the amount provi�ed in the budget
for the year 1943, the sum o� �16800�00 for c�pital outlay in the
\
water Pund.
�ECTION E: That a�ter carePul consideration the City Council
f in.ds and d eclares that an emergeney exists.
�ECTION 3: That this ordinance shall not be voted upon until
one week shall have elap�ed afterits introduction, and that it shall
require the unanimous vote oP all of the members of� the Couneil present,
and the approval of the Mayor, and that a copy of this ordinance sha11
be published as a proposed ordinance together with a notics oP the time
set for voting thereon before the day set for voting.
�ECTIUN 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and ePfect five
