Welcome Mr. Rice welcomed the members and thanked them for attending tonight's session. II. Approval of Previous Minutes Mr. Rice called for any corrections, comments, or notations to the previous minutes of March 23, 2010. Marcie Palmer moved to approve the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Mr. Johnson. Motion carried. � � �� Announcements Airport Manager Ryan Zulauf introduced two visitors at the table. Mike Cero has joined the RAAC as the Council representative for the city of Mercer Island and Rich Perteet was introduced as the Deputy Public Works Administrator—Transportation, for the City of Renton. Mr. Zulauf announced The Boeing Company signed a lease for another 20 years on the Airport. He explained their footprint will largely remain the same, except for the parking lot at the southeast corner, and they no longer have the 502 Building. Boeing is also assuming all costs for the paint hangar to get it re-certified. III. Airport Regulations and Minimum Standards Document Review Mr. Rice directed our attention to the night's task at hand. The members would be going through the final draft of the revised Airport Regulations and Minimum Standards to see that all items have been sufficiently addressed to everyone's satisfaction. Mr. Zulauf then took control of the meeting and started by going through the definitions and explaining the intent of the City Attorney wherever a change had been suggested. At the end �rrr of this section Mr. Zulauf asked for comments or questions from the members. Mark Hancock noted there was no definition for the term "Lessee" within this section of the document. Mr. Zulauf will see that a definition gets added to the final version. Section 2, Regulations General: The correct title of this document is Airport Regulations and Minimum Standards and it has been corrected throughout the document. 2.1.7, b: Delete the word "exclusion" and insert the word "expulsion" in its place. (The goal is to match the verbiage in 2.1.7, a, above.) 2.4.8 b.6.: Add the word "or" after the word "funnel" Section 3, Minimum Standards for Commercial Aeronautical Service Providers 3.6.6 Indemnification: In the fourth word of the sentence (and), delete the letter "d" so the word reads "an". Except for giving the Severability clause its own section (Section 4), the rest of the changes in �,,. these Airport Regulations and Minimum Standards pertain to spelling, style, or formatting issues with no substantial changes to the document. Roger Lewis made a motion to approve the Airport Regulations and Minimum Standards document as presented and refer it to the City Council for approval and adoption. Mathew Devine seconded the motion. The motion required an official roll-call vote; all ayes; motion carried. (The voting roll-call sheet is attached at the end of this document.) Mr. Zulauf gave a brief update on the seaplane base dredging project. Pending receipt of the required permits, the work will start in November 2010 and while diverting silt away from the base, it will create a beneficial habitat for the fish by using the dredging spoils in optimal locations away from the mouth of the Cedar River. The idea of creating a habitat island is also being bounced around. Mark Hancock cautioned against creating a "goose island" that could be harmful to pilots at the airport. The next meeting of the RAAC will probably be held at the end of the summer.
