THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DQ�S ORDAIDt AS FOLL0�9S:
3eotion 1: Here�fter, no person, t'ir�n, co-gartnershlp, association,
or corporation, conducting, kseping, managing, or operating, or aaueing
to be conducted, kept, managed or operatea, either ae owner, leseor,
leesee or sgent, any �iote2, publie rornning house, lod�in� house, or
apartment house, where gae is or may be uaed, in the Citq o� Henton,
aha.11 operate, conduct, keep or mana�e or cause to be op�rated,
conducted, kept or managed, suoh hotel, public rooming house, lodging
bouse or apartment house Rithout first having provided for proper
connectione and vente in connection with the use oi gas therein, Qs
hereinafter set forth.
Seotion 2: Everq hotel, public rooming house, lodging house, or
apartment house in which gas is burnsd for purposes other than
lighting shall be provided �►ith solid pipe connections for $uch gas,
and with safety nalves oi the typa commonly ealled saf ety pin valves.
Section 3: 8ny hote�, public rooming house, public lodgin� house
or apartment house in �nich gas is burned for purposes other th�n
ligbting ehall be provided with a chimney or wlth one or more ga�,
or ventilating o.ucts, conatructed of sheet-r�etai, so located tha.t
all heating deviaes, the ovens on gaa ranges, or platee, may be
connected thereto.
Section 4: Any hotel, public rooming house, public lodgin� hause
or apartment house in wh3ch gas ie burned for purposes other than

lighting shall be open and sub�ect to inepection of the

4rdinance shall upon conviction thereof be fined in any suan nat
