AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF THE EAST SIDE OF CEDAR
STREET� BETWEEi� bth & Section STREETS, IN THE TOWN OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, BY THE CON—
STRUCTTON OF A SIDEWALK THEREON, THE COST OF THE SAME TO �E LEVIED UPON THE PROPERTY
TO BE BENEFITTED THEREBY.
8E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTONs
Sec. l. That a portion of the East side of Cedar �treet� between 6th Street and
Section Street' to omit that portion abutting on acre t�acts Nos 12, 13, ].1�. - Plat 1Vo. l,
Renton Cooperative Coal Co, Acre Tracts, in the Cit� of Renton, shall be improved by the
construction of a board sidewalk thereon according to the following specifications, to-
wit: Such sidewalk shall be the width of six feet ard shall be constructed of sound
fir planks two inches thick and twelve inches wide and shall be firmly nailed to three
fir stri.ng�rs three inches thick and six inches wid�, at least six twenty penn� nails�
being used to each plank, shall be firin7.y blocked� shall bc� constrizcted at the established
street grade and the inside edge thereof shall be on the established propert�r line.
Sec. 2. That there is hereby established a local improvement district �o.be desig-
nated as ttLocal Improvement District No, 5T', which said district is described as followss
A11 the property abutting, adjacent or approximate to said portion of Gedar Street, East
of the center line of said Cedar Street.
The property included in said local irr�prc�,*a�r�nt clistrict and none other shall be
deemed to be, and sha11 be, the property especially benefitted by the said improvement;
and �he total costs and expenses of the improvement herei.n ordered, including a.li neces-
sary incidental expenses, shall be defrayed by the coLlection of a special assessment to
be levied upon the property included in the said local improvement district.
The assessment herein ordered levied sha71 be due and payable ten d�rs from and
after the complet3on and acceptance of the wnrk herein ordered done, and if not so paa.d,
shall thereupon become delinquent, and thereafter bear interest at the rate of ten (10) per
cent per annum until pa,id.
Section 3. Within ten (10) days after the passa,�e, approval and legal publication
of this ordinance it shall be the duty of the City Clerk to advertise for bids for the
constr�zction of the im�ovement herein ordered made, in accordance with the statutes
of the State of Washington and the ordinance of the City of Renton.
Section 1�. This ordinance shall be i.n fu11 force and effeet five da,ys from and
after its passage� approval and legal publicat�on.
