A1�T ORDINANGE PROVIDING FOR THE IMFROVEMEiJT OF A P4RTi0N OF THE WEST SIDE OF
CEDAR STREET� BETWEEN bth & SECTION �.TREETS, IN THE TLjWN OF RENTONe WASHINGTON, BY
THE OONSTRUCTION OF A SIDEWALK THEREON, THE COST OF THE SAME TO BE LEVIED UPON THE
PROPERTY TO HE BENEFITTED THEREBY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL QF TI-L CITY OF RENTON.
Section 1. Th$t a portion of the West side of Cedar Street, between bth Street
and Sectian Street, t� omit trjat por�t3on abutting t�y Acre Tract No. 1�, Renton Cooper-
ative Coa1 Co. Acre Tracts in the C3ty of Renton� sha11 be irnproved by the construction
of a board sidewalk thereon according to the followi.n,g specifications� to-wit: Sueh
sidewalk shat7. be the width of six feet and shaa,l. be constructed of sound fir planks
two i.nches thiek and twelve inches wide and shall be firm],.y naiJ.ed to three fir stringers
three inches thick and six inches wide, at least six �wenty penny nails being used to
each plank� sha71 be firml� blocked, shall be constructed at t,he establa.shed street
grade and the inside edge thereof shall be on the established property line.
Section 2, That �here is hereby established a local improvement district to be
"' designated as t�I,ocal Irr�rovement District No.4tt, which said district is described as
follow�t -A1l the property abutting, ad�acent cr dpproximate to said portion of Cedax
Street� tidest of the center line of said Cedar Street.
The property included in said local improvement district and none other shall be
deemed to bea and shall be� the property espeeially benefitted by the said improvem,ent;
and the total costs and expenses of the improvement herein ordered, including a11
necessary incidental expenses, shall be defrayed by the collection �f a special assess-
ment to be levied upon the property incltzded ira the sa:id local improverr�nt clistrict.
The assessm�nt herein ordered levied sha11 be due and payable ten days from and
after the completion a,nd acceptance of the wor�� herein ordered dane, and if not so pai.d,
sha7.7. thereupon become delinquent, and thereafter bear interest at the rate of ten (10}
per cent per annum until paid.
Section 3. Witt�3n ten (10) days after the pasage' approval an�. legal publication
of this ordinance it shall be the duty of the City Cl�rk to advertise for bids for the
construction of the improvement herein ord.ered ma,ae� 3.n accordance with the statutes
of the State of ti�ashington and the ordinance� of the City of ftenton.
Sectian 4. This orclinanee shall be in full force and effect five days from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
