�Ahereas by oxdinance No. 280 of the city of Renton,t�ashington,
The Seattle Zighting Com�any was given a franen.ise ,in Renton,
in which its rates for fu�^nishing gas are based upon the rates
ehar�ed by said corporation in Seatt�.e (in so far as a minimum
char e is concerned .

And from newspaper reports it seems that the Seattla ra�es will
be or have been raised , subject to a rehearing in January,I9I8.
And t:nat said Lighting Company is required to keep an account of '
tY�e difference to eaeh customer.
Therefore;
Be it Re�olved by the City Council of tlle City of Renton:
See. I. That the Public Service Commission of the State vf
t�as��ington be and the said Commission is respectfully requested
to make each and every order caleul�.ted to p rotect usexs of gas
in Seattle applicable to the users of gas in Renton.
Sec. 2-- That the city council of the City of REnton do nereby
eaxnes�ly protest a�ain�t the proposed increase in the cost of gas
to consumers in the said Cityx of Renton
