CALL TO ORDER: Commission Vice Chair Prince called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL: Commissioner Osborn called roll. Commissioners Drollinger and Giometti were absent and excused. 3. CORRESPONDENCE RECEIVED: None 4. AUDIENCE COMMENTS: None 5. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS: None 6. DIRECTOR'S REPORT: • The City has made the first cut for getting federal EPA grant for sustainability. This money will be applied to the Sunset Community Investment Strategy. The next application is due by mid June. • The City continues to do public outreach regarding the City Center Community Plan. A meeting was held with the downtown business community this morning. We are working towards June 30 as the cut off for the online survey. • A second public hearing will be held before the Council regarding the adult entertainment ordinance. • The first meeting with the Planning& Development Committee was held last week regarding the Shoreline Master Program. Chip distributed the documents that were shared with the Committee, identifying major milestones and public notice throughout the process. 7. UTILITY POLES& UNDERGROUNDING ORDINANCE: Neil Watts, Development Services Director in the Department of Community& Economic Development, discussed utility poles in the City and the related undergrqunding ordinance. 8. DEVELOPMENT REGULATI09VS(TITLE IV)AMENDMENTS DOCKET BRIEFINGS: #D-37:Temporary Use Permits Kris presented this docket item. Staff recommends clarifying uses that need a temporary use permit and those that do not and amending the current language in the code. #D-38: Planned Urban Development(PUD) Re�ulations Vanessa presented this docket item. This request was made by Robert McCormick and further amended by the Planning Division. This item proposes changes to the Planned Urban Development regulations within Title IV. The changes would address open space, public benefit,time lines, and housekeeping issues. She discussed the background of PUDs and the proposed changes. Staff recommends amending the PUD Regulations for residential open space requirements. #D-45: Mental Illness Dru� Dependencv(MIDD) Rocale presented this docket item. This request was made by the Planning Division. This item proposed to amend Title IV to provide provisions for Crisis Diversion (CDF)and a Crisis Diversion Interim Service Facilities (CDIS). She discussed the background where the King County Council passed a motion adopting the Mental Illness and Drug Dependency action plan. Staff recommends approval of this request that provides provisions which anticipate CDF and CDIS facilities being placed within the City. 9.
