ADMINISTRATIYE Chief Administrative 4fficer Jay Covington reviewed a written administrative
REPORT report sumrnarizing the City's recent progress towards goals and work
programs adopted as part of its business plan far 1998 and beyond. Items
, noted included: I
* The City's Street Maintenance sectian began repairing sidewalks,
curbs and gutters in the North Renton residential neighbarhood as
part of the 1998 city-w'sde sidewalk repair effort.
* Groundwater samples taken from the Stoneway Cancrete praperty
cantained high levels of PCE, narrowing the search for the soarce of �
the contaminatian.
* The Rentan Municipai Code can now be accessed through the City's
web site at www.ci.rentan.wa.us.
* Thase interested in current dawntown redevelapment efforts can
attend an apen hause an March 25th at Jubiiante Restaurant to learn
more abaut specific projects, timelines and related information.
CONSENT AGENDA Items on the consent agenda are adopted by one motion which follows the
listing.
Streets: Main Ave S ROW Technical Services Division requested Council set just carnpensation far right-
Acquisitians {3ust of-way to be acquired far the Main Ave. S. road project, in accordance with _ -
Compensatian Set) the submitted appraisai (43S Main Ave. S., $26,OOQ; 903 S. 4th St., $8,900; 323
Main Ave. S., $15,370; 333 Main Ave. S., $225,000; 329 Main Ave. S., $4,500;
and 33U Main Ave. S., $2,8Q0). Cauncil concur.
Airport: Sky Harbor Transportation Division recommended denial of the request from Sky Harbor
Lease, Rent Amount Aviation for adjustment of retroactive rent at Renton Municipal Airport, and
agreement Change further recommended that the amount awed by Sky Harbar be reduced by
