OLD BUSINESS Community Services Community Services Committee Chairman Stredicke presented Committee Report committee report re review of changes in the Green River Flood Green River Flood Control Program and feels that the changes are significant Basin Plan enough that the entire Council should be advised of the status of the project to date. The report recalled Council recently approved continuing participation in the S.C.S. Drainage Plan but did not authorize signatures for documents and therefore recommended that the Administration be prepared to make such a presentation and that the Council President arrange-:for presentation at the next Committee of the Whole meeting. Puget Sound Councilman Hughes reported regarding meeting of Puget Sound Council Council of Government at Washington Plaza 1/24, one item Government SR515 wherein he was able to request continuing coordination Councilman Hughes of the program with Washington State Highway Department and City Rep Subregional Council , that matter delayed too long. Hughes noted meeting at Talbot School 1/30y also discussed eneray transportation and qrowth manavement. C. Gonnason, Chairman) , this letter is a request to the City of Renton to amend Ordinance No. 3319. The Ordinance, as it exists, vacates an alley (which runs north/south parallel to and + 90 feet east of Park Avenue North) and California Avenue (Seventh � Street which runs east/west starting at the west side of the alley and running I east 280.35 feet to Garden Avenue). The vacated street does not intersect with Park Avenue North. This vacated parcel is "L" shaped with the bottom of the "L" being the southern boundary of the Boeing property. This southern part is 30 feet wide from north to south, and 280.35 feet long east to west. . The City has an existing 16-inch diameter water main and 12-inch diameter storm sewer within this vacated street. These water and sewer mains continue west beyond the vacated street in two 10-foot easements to Park Avenue North. Boeing owns the property on both the north and south sides of these easements. The portions of Ordinance No. 3319 which is requested to be amended is the first , paragraph after Section I. It reads as follows: BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED SUBJECT to an easement over, across, under, and on all of California Avenue (North Seventh Street) in favor of the City for utility and related purposes. Although the City vacated the street, it has indeed reserved the entire 30-foot width for utilities. The northerly 10 feet of vacated California Avenue stops II 90 feet short of connecting to Park Avenue North and contains no utilities.
