I M P O R T A N T N O T I C E
Like many of our citizens, you are probably aware that the City of Renton is
about to change most street names and many house numbers. YOU are affected by
these changes, and your new address is shown on the enclosed slip.
This letter is your preliminary notice of your address change which will become
effective on April 7, 1969.
Your address change is part of a city-wide program started in 1967 for the
following reasons:
1. To make it easier to find addresses
2. To allow emergency services to answer calls more quickly
3. To provide a standardized street system
4. To allow for the instal-lation of uniform street name
signs throughout the city
For your convenience, we have shown on the reverse side of this letter a map
showing the new street system and listing the new designations.
Also, to further assist you, the City will notify the following agencies of your
new address:
City of Renton
City Clerk TVoter Records, Licenses, etc.)
Utilities (Water, Sewer, Garbage)
Fire Department
Police Department
King County
Assessor (Property Taxes)
Auditor (Records)
Pacific Northwest Bell (Telephone)
U. S. Post Office
Puget Power (Electric Service)
Washington Natural Gas Company
R. L. Polk Company (Directory)
Please remember to notify all other persons or agencies requiring knowledge of.
your correct address. The Post Office has a standard form for "Change of
Address" which you may obtain without cost at any Post Office.
Should you have further questions concerning your new address, please contact
the Traffic Engineering Department at the Renton Municipal Building by phoning
BAldwin 8-3310. Ext. 266 or 267.
