Meeting Minutes
December 7, 2010

I. CALL TO ORDER
In Attendance
The following members were present:

II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
A motion was made by Michael O'Donin and seconded by Larry Reymann to
approve the agenda as presented. All were in favor, motion carried, the
December 7, 2010, agenda was approved.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Michael O'Donin and seconded by Tim Searing to
approve the November minutes as written. All were in favor, motion carried the
November 2010 minutes were approved.
IV. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS
Elizabeth Stewart, Museum Manager, reviewed the 2009-2010
accomplishments. The museum had a 27% increase in visitors, acquired new
offsite storage facility for their collections, and completed the Museum Master
Plan. A new exhibit "Among Friends" Renton High's 100 years, as well as the
mural unveiling, ARROW students' mural and 80,000 ducks, 25 years exhibit
were all displayed.
We look forward in 2011 to implement the next steps in the Museum Master
Plan and the arrival of the Smithsonian Institution exhibit, Journey Stories,

additionally; possible collaborations with Renton Municipal Arts Commission
and the Compass Center.
V. OTHER COMMUNICATION
Three meeting changes were proposed for the February, June and September
meeting. This would coordinate with the Planning Commission meetings held
on Wednesdays,and would immediately follow the Park Board meetings to
discuss the PRO Plan. Sandy will email the board members the revised dates
so they can change their calendars.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Cynthia Burns to adjourn the meeting, Troy Wigestrand
seconded the motion, all were in favor, motion carried. The December 2010
meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
