Municipal Arts Commissioners Present: Jaris English,Jerri Everett, Peter Hartley, Britt McKenzie and
Paul Hebron
Absent: Evelyn Reingold, Bill Huls, Ben Andrews and Natalie Gress
City Staff present:Jennifer Davis Hayes,Community& Economic Development,Vincent Orduna,
Community Services—Recreation Division
Guests: Colleen Lenahan,Renton History Museum Art Exhibit Curator
Todd Black and Leslie Betlach, Parks Planning& Natural Resources Division,Community Services
CALL TO ORDER: Commission Chair McKenzie called the meeting to order at 4:35 p.m.
GUESTS: Colleen Lenahan shared her goals for the project and beginning concept for an art show at
Renton History Museum showcasing the City's art collection. Her initial idea for a show theme is`places
that unite us'and she welcomed ideas and input as she proceeds.
Todd Black presented information about the artwork options for Inclusive Playground located at
Meadowcrest Elementary(formerly Hillcrest Elementary), including an artistic gateway entrance.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: COMMISSIONER BRITT MCKENZIE PRESENTED THE MINUTES FOR�{-PdF�€'f�
TO THE GROUP AND ASKED IF ANYONE HAD ANY COMMENTS. PAUL HEBRON MOTIONED TO APPROVE
THE MINUTES,SECONDED BY PETER HARTLEY. COMMISSIONERS CONCURRED, MOTION CARRIED.
PUBLIC ART PIECE OF THE MONTH: Bill Huls was scheduled for this month but he was not present at
the meeting. He will be rescheduled for next month. Britt McKenzie will present in January,Jaris English
in February and Jerri Everett in March.
CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: lennifer Davis Hayes passed around the correspondence
folder for individual review.
