RENTON MUNICIPAL ARTS COMMISION MINUTES
, Renton City Hall Conferencing Center(7th Floor)
December 3, 2013
Present: Jerri Everett, Britt McKenzie, Natalie Gress, Paul Hebron, Peter Hartley, Marsha Rollinger
Absent: T.Y.Lau, Ben Andrews, Mitch Shepard, Michelte Berringer, Bill Huls, Evelyn Reingold,
Jaris English
Guests: Janet Halford, Liz Steward-Renton History Museum
City Staff present: Elizabeth Higgins-City liaison
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:35PM
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Unable to approve minutes, no quorum present
CORRESPONDENCE AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: Britt McKenzie passed around the correspondence folder
for individual review.
OLD BUSINESS:
We were not able to determine the new officers of the Commission due to the lack of a quorum
Committee reports:
Resource Committee
Peter Hartley presented a grant application from Kristin Schimik for the"Mine Loop" project
asking for $250 to complete her expenses. Motion by Peter, 2"d by Marsha Rollinger.Approved
by members in attendance, but lacking a quorum,vote will be completed by email before the
end of the funding period (December 31, 2013). Elizabeth with conduct the vote electronically.
Communication Committee
No report
GAP Lighting Proiect
Since Jennifer left this committee has not been active. Mitch is lead and will be trying to get it
back on track.

Retreat

New Business �
The Rainier Ave improvement project is finished.A dedication ceremony will happen on Dec 9`n
, in the Mclendon parking at 10 AM. Commissioners should attend if possible. Benson Shaw has
not finished the the Grady Way sign.There was an automobile accident and one of the poles
was knocked down. He will complete the project as soon as the pole is replaced.
There will be a new building on the corner where Jet City Express is located. More information
will follow.
, Renton River Davs
_ The City Chairperson the the Art Market has resigned.The City is asking for interested persons
to apply for the position.There may be a stipend available. More information is available from
Bonnie Rerecich (425-430-6624)or Sonja Mejlaender(425-430-6514) in the City of Renton
Community Services Department.

December, 2013 meeting was adjourned at 6:00 pm. The next meeting will be held lanuary 7, 2014 in
the Renton City Hall Conferencing Center(7t'' Floor) at 4:30 pm.
