MEETING MINUTES
March 22, 2011

Chair,Jim Phelan called the meeting to order at 4:31 pm.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Review of the February minutes for the 02/22/11 meeting.

2) New eusiness:
A.) Chief Kevin Milosevich announced that the Police Department hired a new Police Officer starting
March 16th. The Chief provided a brief background of their new Officer.
FIRE&EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT:
' 1)Unfinished Business:
A.) Bill Larson asked where the Fire Department stood on their new hire list, and Erik Wallgren provided
a brief update on the status of their current eligibility list and the new recruitment process.
2)New Business:
A.) The Lateral Firefighter Eligibility List was approved.

B.) Erik Wallgren explained the changes to the Lateral Firefighter recruitment process, including minor
changes made to the requirements of the position as well as selecting only the top 20 applicants to
proceed in the process. The Lateral Firefighter recruitment process was approved.

A.) Jim Phelan announced that he will be unable to attend the next Civil Service meeting.
