Candidates were provided a 60-day notice,as required for promotional testing under Civil Service. The examination consisted of a pre-Assessment Center written essay consisting of two questions, a Department Work Rating process, and an Assessment Center. The Assessment Center Consisted of three parts: An Oral Board Interview,Tactical Exercise, and Oral Technical. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from a standard high school,vocational school,or equivalency. Applicants for this class must have completed at least five years as a commissioned Police Officer with a minimum of three years as a commissioned Police OfFicer with the Renton Police Department at the time of the department work rating. EXAMINATION CONTENT: JMF&Associates was contracted to facilitate the Assessment Center and the Work Rating. The examination consisted of three major parts: Written Exam, Department Work Rating, and Assessment Center. A combined (Written Examination, Department Work Rating, and Assessment Center) minimum score of 70�o was required for placement on the eligibility list. Written Examination—Worth 159�0 of the total score. This did not require a 709�o to proceed but was combined with the final score. The assessors for the written assignment were Deputy Chief Tim Troxel and Commander Katie McClincy. Department Work Rating—Worth 30�'0 of the total score. This did not require a 709'o to proceed but was combined with the final score. Raters were 10 Sergeants,and they rated on a "consensus"with five dimensions being rated. Each dimension was weighted differently based on a survey provided to the Sergeants prior to the work rating. The Sergeants did not know the weighting of the individual dimensions. If more than six raters scored,then the high and low scores were removed and the average was the initial discussion point. Assessment Center—Worth 55�'0 of the total score. This assessment center consisted of three parts, which were all weighted differently within the assessment center. The Oral Board Interview was worth 209'0,the Oral Technical was worth 109�0, and the Tactical Exercise was worth 25�'0. � � , The assessors for each of the Assessment Stations consisted of the following: ' 1) Oral Board Interview—Lt.
