Need to recognize Pat and Marge; the key to this program is staying positive and taking participants through the steps to make it work. They both are doing a fabulous job. it wouid not have worked had we tried to do it ourselves. Fern Ziebel! volunteered her time and ' purchased eards from the Dollar Stare. Elaine Kaehler wi1! volunteer ta purchase sympathy cards. !t was moved by Sandra Po13ey second by Emilie McCue to spend $100 at the Dollar Tree to purchase sympathy cards for the center. Motion carried.F I Dorothy Cook— 1 have a friend who decided not to come any more because he doesn't want the Ca Card. I I told him don't let that keep you away. I neard yau say the center is going to have a generic card, I'1) tell him that. Shawn indicated this is not a requirement and no one will be kicked out for not having a card. Too be fare we don't ask a lot, don't charge membership fees; it is not too much to ask someone to fi(1 out a card and swipe it. Debbie Little said a man on one of her trips last week stated he didn't want BIG BR07HER watching over him. Sandra Po(ley—!s the money far the Library for the purchase of other items? Yes. When you go to the haspital you have a mirror to see wha cames around the corner. I have almost run into seniors coming around corners; i wall<fast they walk siowiy and some v+rith wa(kers/canes/wheelchairs. Around the corner by the stairway i wander if a mirrar cotld be installed so peaple can see who is caming toward you. Shawn said we have fiour sharp corners; are we going to put mirrors an a!I those? lt is a gaod thought, but in the history of the center we have not had one incident sameone running inta others or fall dawn. Emilie McCue--Why is the Go Card swipe installed at Kathie's desk instead of at the Welcome desk? This is an issue. Tirn is aware of this. The reason it is at the secretary's area is we don't have a long enaugh cable ta reach the Welcome desk. Kathy has enough to worry abaufi and doesn't need a big congestion at the counter. Bare with us, this is something being worked on. Mary Lou Gilbert gave feedback on the Zumba class her neighbor attended; she was all pumped up. Marjarie Cochran-Reep commented on what a great brochure Debbie Little put out for July-September. It was rea! personalized with differert seniors and their comments.
