This is a in and out procedure. � Activities for the coming week include a hike to Pacific Crest Trail on Tuesday; Nintendo �Vii is also available on Tuesday. National Peach Month Luncheon is being held on Friday. National Friendship Day Luncheon is on Wednesday Aub st 15�'. � Bring a friend and your friend receives a free lunch. Seattle Mariners vs Tampa Bay ' Rays game is on Wednesday Au�ust 15�'. m Thank you to those who helped out at Renton River Days a.1-�d also for the movie night. Atterdance for the movie was approximately 150 people. It would be nice to increase that number next year. Those who attended had a really good time enjoying games, food and the movie. '��1����.I.IAIVIS—Recreation Director • Tim thanked those who helped out at Renton River Days, specifically Pat and Bill who helped out at the Community Services booth. e This week's movie in the park will be held at Liberty Park and they will be showirg , The Muppets. On the 17�' of Aub st the movie will be shown at Cascade Vista Athletic f eld. The movie Puss and Boots will be shown. � Sumlrrier concert series are wrapping up down at Kidd Valley. A Blue Grass concert � is scheduled this Wednesday and then one more concert on the 22°d to wrap up the season. September 8�is a Day of Service that is being put on with the city. Last year over 700 volunteers paxticipated. � Retreat result inform�tion is still ongoing. Tim distributed a print out of information that was brought up at the retreat. One of the first questions that caine up, what are the qualifications for board members and what is the orientation of that person? Tim � . � • • requested that board mem.bers have a list of qualificatio��s and what you would do to orientate that netiv board member and brin�the list to the next board meeting. � Another goal is to think of projects that the committee can do. Examples would be helping anot�er a�ency or a non profit ir�the corru-�unity. � A third goal was to refine the committee's. The goal would'ae to get all committee's . active. . . � Tirn sug�ested��.at Be�put these concerns on ihe ager�da for a�t�are meeting. Ben responded to Milt bringing up changes to the committee's. The committee's are set up by the Bylaivs, and merlbers canriot randomly chanDe the comznittee's. Ben's suggestion we have a discussion next meetin�on committee's i�-� general. When the com�-nittee members wish to make a recor2mendation to char�ge any of�he committees it�r�usi be done with a written request 7 days prior to members voting. ����� Ta��e��s�,a�s�i��: Several concerns came up during round table discussion. Marge and Milt had done a waLk aroiznd of the facility taking note of thin�s that need attention. There is an attachmerlt to these minutes regarding the things they noted. Bill wante�to know if ne�t year t�'�e com�-ni�tee mi�ht work together to have a float for the Renton River Days parade. This will be taken under consideration for next year. Milt asked approval to make a preser�tation to the American Legion members regarding exactly what does the Renton Senior Activity Center have to offer to our seniors. There was discussion regarding this an�Debbie su�gested it would be a good idea but felt a staff member sho�ld accompany Milt. �ill�oved that NSilt with a staff inember be allowed to present information to the Amer;can Legion.
