TIM WILLIAMS,Recreation Director • Tim and Debbie attended the Aging Your Way Summit meeting a couple of weeks ago. The meeting was very informative with ideas that Debbie and Tim would like to share with us at a later date. They learned of many new services in King and Pierce County. • Tim would like to confirm with President Ben Cheney the possibility of sharing a minute report on some things that might be informative for the committee. One example would be the cost recovery which would be important for the committee to understand. He would bring in that material which would have all the information in a packet. • Tim felt that most people are satisfied with the services provided by the City of Renton. The city did a customer service survey at the end of last year and it would be interesting for the committee to see some i of the highlights and low points from the survey. This would probably need to be spread over a couple of ineetings. Tim still needs to meet with the former director regarding extended trips. Ben asked if there were any written or oral reports ar any committee reports to be made. None were reported. Requests for old business brought up a question from Ben about the trellis eyesore in the back of the property. Shawn said he will send another request. Sandra brought up the issue of window repair. Shawn said he sent an e-mail this morning and hopes repair will be done in the near future. Rose wanted to know about the Renton Senior Activity Sign which needs repair. Shawn responded that John from Facilities was at the center looking at the sign. We should know more by the next meeting. The duration of the meeting was spent discussing the issue of people coming to the center when they have colds or are not feeling well. There were many suggestions made and it was confirmed that there is a policy in effect that if you're not well, don't come in. Next meeting will be held April 16'.
