ORDINANCE NO. 2960
c) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON , VACATING
Q, A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST 13th PLACE , A PUBLIC STREET , AS
MORE PARTICULARLY HEREIN DESCRIBED
WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating a portion of Southeast
13th Place , Renton , Washington , was du:1.y filed with the City Clerk on
lkor about April 4 , 1974 , and said petition having been signed by owners
representing 100% of the total frontage upon the portion of said
street to be vacated ; and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No . 1931 passed and
approved on September 9 , 1974 , and after due investigation , did Pix
and determine the 21st day of October , 1974 at the hour of 8 : OU P.M .
in the City Council chambers of the City of Renton to be the time
and place for a public hearing thereon , and the City Clerk having
given due notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law , and
all persons having been heard appearing in favor or in opposition
thereto ; and
WHEREAS the Department of Public Works and the Planning Department
of the City of Renton having duly considered said petition for said
vacation , and ha ving found same to be in the public interest and
for the public benefit , and no injury or damage to any person or
properties will result from such vacation ;
NOW THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : The following portion of street , to-wit :
All that portion of S .E. 13th Place , having a width of
60 feet , lying easterly of the ' easterly right-of-way
margin of Lake Youngs Way S .E . , southwesterly of the
westerly line of Lot 6 , Block 6 , Tiffany Park Division
No. 2 as recorded in Vol . 92 of plats , page 34 , records
of King County , Wash. , and lying between L'ot 1 , Block 1 ,
• Tiffany Park as recorded in Vol . 72 of plats , page 7 ,
8 and 9 and Lot 1 , replat of a portion of Block 2 ,
Tiffany Park as recorded in Vol . 74 of plats , page 21 ,
records of King County , Washington
As situated within the _NW 1/4 of Sec . 21 Twp 23 N . , Rg, S EWN
in the County of King , State of Washington
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED, subject , however , that petitioner-
abutting owners continue to provide and maintain existing curb

gutter and sidewalks , and 'further subject to payment: by petitioner-
owners of the sum of $ 357 . 75 pursuant to R. C . W. 35 . 79 . 030 ,
which said sum does not exceed one-half the appraised value of the
area so vacated.
SECTION II : This ordinance shall be effective up on its passage ,
, .
approval and five days after its publication .
A certified copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the
Office of Records and Elections , King County , and as otherwise
provided by law. •
