HomeMy WebLinkAboutE 07251961 \n` EASEMENT THIS INDENTURE made and entezed into this of July, 1961 between the CITY OF RENtTON, a municipal corporation of the second class unser the lasts and statutes of the State of Washington heneinater referred to as "GRANTOR" and the CITY OF SEATTLE, a municipal corporation of the first class, hereinafter referred to as *GRANTEE" WITNESSETHe 1. In consideration of One Dollar ($1..00) end other good and valuable consideratioan, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Grantor hereby gives, grants and conveys unto the Grantee,, its successors and assigns, the light, privilege and authority to construct, reconstruct, repair, maintain and operate a single electric transmissionline, consisting of necessary poles, with braves, guys and anchors, and to place upon or suspend transmission wires, :.insulators, cross-arms and other n oessary appurtenances, over, on and across the following described property owned by Grantdr, to-wits The North 30 feet of the Northeast Quarter of Northeast Quarter of Northeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 23 North, Ranger 5 East, W.H., situated in the County of King, State of Washington PROVIDED HOWEVER that the centerline of satd pole line installation shall be located and limited to a line parallel with and 6.0 feet north of the south line of said 30-foot Easement heretofore granted to the City of Seattle Water Department, ]Ging County Auditor's File No. 3612021. 2. Grantee agrees to indemnify Grantor and save it harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, liatx£lities and expenses in connection with loss of life, personal injury and/or damages to property arising from or out of any occurrence,act or doings in, upon or at the above described premises or during the occupancy or maintenance thereof by Grantee or occasioned wholly or in pant by any -1- i • - • act or omission of the Grantee its servants, employees or agents. 3. Grantee, its aucosseors and assigns, covenants and agrees that it shall from time to tie, and at all times hereafter at its own cost and expense, repair, maintain and keep repaired and maintained in a proper, substantial and workmanlike manner said electric transmission line, and to erect, post and place proper signs and.warnings on or a11oub said improvements. Grantee, its successors and assigns shall have the right of reasonable ingress to and egress free the above property across adjacent lands of the Grantor for the aforesaid purposes. Grantee to further clear said tight of way and keep the same clear of brash, timber and all fire hazards. 4.
