over the City of Seattle right-of-way in the City
of Renton.;, granted. to the City of Renton over and
across six feet on the north side of said right-
of-way between Kogan & Bxirnett Streets, as authorized.
by Ordinance No. 60521.
We are oleo enclosing our bill, No. 1863,
for $1.00, covering cost of this easement.

EXHIBIT "An
EASEMENT
The Grantor, the City of Seattle, a municipal
corporation, for and in consideration of One Dollar($1.00) ,
and other good and valuable consideration , the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, hereby grants to the Grantee, the City
of Renton, a municipal corporation, the right to construct and
maintain a sidewalk and storm sewer over and across the north
six(6) feet of the Grantor's pipe line right-of-way, between
Logan and Burnett Street, in the City of Renton.
By its acceptance of this easement and as a part
of the consideration therefor, the Grantee covenants and agrees
thet it will defend, indemnify and save the Grantor harmless
from any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever arising or
accruing by reason of the construction or maintenance of the
sidewalk and/or storm sewer on or in the easement hereby
granted.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Grantor has caused this
instrument to be signed by its Mayor and attested by its City
Comptroller and ex-officio City Clerk, pursuant to the
provisions of Ordinance No. 60521 , this 11th day of December,
1941 .

inend for the State of Washington, duly commissioned and
sworn, personally appeared Earl Millikin, and W. C. Thomas,
to me personally known to be the Mayor and City Comptroller,
respectively, of the City of Seattle, the municipal
corporation that executed the foregoing instrument, and
acknowledged to me that they signed and sealed the same
as the free and voluntary act and deed of said municipal
corporatirn , and on oath stated that they were authorized
1 to execute said instrument and that the seal affixed is the
seal of said municipal corporation.*
