At a meeting of the City Council of the City of Renton ,
Washingtonwursuant to the provision of Oeetion Ut;33 of Remington's
Compiled Code of the state of Washington , held in the City of
Renton in the Council chamber on Monday, March 16, 1925, for the
purpose of oanaa4alug tht, vote held at the municipal election
held in the City of Renton on the 10th day of March, 1925, at
which time the question was submitted to the electors of the City
of Renton, whether the corporate limito of the Pity of Renton
should be reducol, and the City Council of the City of Renton ,
having oanvassed the returns find that there was cast for said
proposition two hundred ninetytour votes and against the swat
one hundred sixteen votes , and it appearing to the City Council
that the same was more than three.fifths (s/5) of all the votes
cast upon said question and being sufficient in number to carry
the proposition of the reouction of the City Limits,
THEREFORi" BE IT RLSOLVED„ by thu City Council , that
W. J. Williams , the City Clerk of said City, 0e , and he is hexeby
instructed to certify and transmit to the Secretary of State an
abstract of said vote which abstraot shall ehow the whole number
of electors voting in said corporation , the number of votes oast
for the reduction of said territory and the number of votes oast
against the reauotion of saiu territory.
DONE IN OPEN COUNCIL this 16th day of March, A. D. 1925.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, VeASHINGTON , DEFINING
AND FIXING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CORPORATION AS SET OUT IN
THE PETITION AND NOTICE Cl ELECTION AND SETTING THE BOUNDARY BY
MEETS AND BOUNDS, OR OTHER LEGAL SUB—DIVISIONS, THE TERRITORY EX-
CLUDED Melt THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF RENTON AND DEOLARING
SUCH TEReITORY NO LONGER A PART OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Seotion That where: s , there was submitted to the electors
of the City of Renton on the 10th day of Mrch, 1935, the question
of detaohing certain territory therefrom, and, whereas the vote oat
upon said pubjeot has been canvassed, by the City Counoll of the City
of Renton and the same has been found to have been carried oy the
neceseary three—fifths vote, and whereas said fact has been oertified
to the Seereliaty of State of the State of Washington, as reluired uy
law, therefor , BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
Section 21 That the boundaxies of the corporate limits
of the City of Renton, Washington , after excluding the territory
hereinafter mentioned, are as follows:
*Beginning at the corner common to Sections 17 , 18, 19 and
O , Township 23 North , Range 5 East , W. M. ; thence east along Lhc
aouthline of Section 17 to the northwest corner of Waiworthe Addition;
thence S. 0'9' E. 614.91 feet; thence N. 89511 E. 440 feet; thence
S. 0°9' E. 400 feet; thence N. 89°511 E. 340 feet; thence S. 0°9' E.
15b feet; thence N. 89 51' E. 670 feet to the southeast corner of said
Highland Addition; thence north along a line sixty feet west of and
parallel to the north and south eenter lines of Sections 20 and 17 to
an intersection with the center line of Cedar River; thenoe northwest—
erly along the center line of Cedar River to an intersection with the
easterly marginal line of the right of way of the Columbia and Puget
Sound Railway; thence in a northeasterly direction along :said right
of way through the north oneehalf of Section 17 and the S. W. 1/4 of
the S. E. 1/4 of Section 8 , Tewnship 43 North, Range 5 pat , W. M.

thence east alonesaid north boundary line to the northeast corner of
the said 8. W. 1/4 of the S. E. 1/4 of Section 8; thence north on a
line running north and south between the E. 1/2 pf the E. 1/2 and the
West 1/3 of the East 1/3 of said Section 8 to the N. E. corner of the
N. W. 1/4 of the S. E. .1/4 of Section 8; thence west along the east
and west center line la Section 8 to the easterly marginal line of
the right of way of the Northern Pecan° Belt Line Railway ; thence in
a northeasterly direction along said easterly marginal line of the
Northern Pacific Belt Line Railway to the north line of Section 8;
thence west along the north line of Sections 8 and 7 to the inner

Black River; thence in a southerly direction along the eaut bank of
Blaok River to an intersection with the south line of the City of

right of way to a point which is 521.75 feet north and 360 feat west
of the northwest corner of Block 1 , smitheru Fifth Addition to the
Town (now Oity, of Renton; thence S. Oc2"13$ W. 521,75 feet to the south
line of Third Avenue; thence east along the aouth line of Third Avenue
to the West line of Shattuck Stre,..A; thence south along the woet line

*Beginning at the northeast corner of the N. W. 1/4 of
the S. E. 1/4 of Seotion 8 and 23, Township 23 North, Range 5 East,
W. M, ; thence north along a line running north and south between the
E. 1/2 of the E. 1/2 and the W. 1/2 of the E. 1/2 of the said Section
8 to the north line of said Section 8; thence west along the north
line of Section 8 to an(Winteraeotion with the easterly marginal
line of the right of way of the Northern Paoifio Belt Line Railway;
thence eouthwesterly along said easterly marginal lame of the right
of way of the Northern Paoliio Belt Line Railway to an intersection
with the east and west o4viter line of Section 8; thence east along said
east and west center line to the point of beginning. *
Section 41 That the territory desoribed in Section a of this
ordinance, be , and the same is hereby aeo-kixed to be no longer a part
of the territorial oorporation of the City of Renton, Washington.
Section 5$ That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five days froa. and after its approval , passage and legal publi-
oatien as provided by law.

ington, aefining and fixing the corporate limits of

or other legal sub-divisions , the territory excluded
from the corporation of the City of Renton and declaring
such territory no longer a part of said city. "
That the same was passed by the Council and
approved by its Mayor as above set fort#, and published

March, 1925 , according to law.
