AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO AGREEMENT FOR FALCON RIDGE LIFT
STATION REPLACEMENT AND FORCE MAIN IMPROVEMENTS

THIS AMENDMENT, dated August 20, 2019 is by and between the City of Renton (the"City"), a
Washington municipal corporation, and RH2 Engineering, Inc. ("Consultant"), a Washington
corporation.The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the
"Parties." Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date
signed by both parties.
Whereas,the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-17-049,dated
March 20,2017,to provide necessary services for the Falcon Ridge Lift Station Replacement and
Force Main Improvements project(referred to herein as the"Agreement");
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope and change the
compensation in order to add engineering services during construction to the project.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-17-049 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work:Section 1,Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified In Exhibit
A-3,which is attached and incorporated herein
2. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant Is increased by $6,000.00 from $226,380 to
$232,380, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation
shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts
specified in Exhibit C-3,which is attached and incorporated herein.
3. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF,the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Agreement as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.

Additional Services
August 2019
Background
The following Scope of Work includes additional services for the Falcon Ridge Lift Station
Replacement and Force Main Improvements project, which were performed by RH2 Engineering,
Inc., (RH2) in support of the City of Renton (City) but exceeded the level of effort outlined in RH2's
previous scope of work.
Task 6A—Additional Services
Objective: Provide additional services for unanticipated contractor construction issues.
Approach:
6A.6 Provide Additional Coordination During Startup and Decommissioning of Existing Pump
Station: Provide additional coordination with Puget Sound Energy (PSE), contractor, Quality
Control Corporation (QCC), and Advanced Power during the startup and decommissioning
of the existing pump station.
6A.7 Perform Additional Hydraulic Analysis: Perform additional hydraulic analysis due to pump
recirculation related to gasket issues.
6A.8 Provide Additional Observation of Construction Work in Progress: Additional working days
were added to the construction contract due to winter weather and contractor delays in
work due to procurement of materials. This led to RH2's additional field time and
inspections.
RH2 Deliverables:
• Written and verbal coordination with City,contractor,and vendors.
• Pump hydraulic analysis figure for City review.
Fee for Services
RH2 estimates this additional work to be$6,000.
