HomeMy WebLinkAboutD 5994730 T + • 17l_,; ' UQl' 5 . fAGE � Maple Valley Substation Site QUITCLAIM EASEMENT DEED The Grantor, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Department of the Interior, acting by and through the Bonneville Power Administrator, pursuant to the Act of Congress approved August 20, 1937 (50 Stat. 731, 16 U.S.C. 832a, et seq.) as amended, and Con June 30, 1949 (63 Stat. 377, 40 U.S.C. 471, et seq.) as amended, and delegations • 't of authority issued pursuant thereto, for and in consideration of the sum of THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00) does hereby remise, release and quitclaim unto the CITY OF RENTON, its successors and assigns, an easement for a 12-inch water line 3 over and across the United States Department of the Interior, Bonneville Power IAdministration's fee-owned Maple Valley Substation Site, being more particularly described as follows: ; . A strip of land 20 feet in width over and across the United 1715 States Bonneville Power Administration's Maple Valley Substation Site, being a part of the NE/SE- of Section 20, and the NWiSW and the SW4NWi of Section 21, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W. M., King County, Washington, the boundaries of said strip lying 10 feet from, on each side of, and parallel with a line described as follows: Beginning at a point in the westerly boundary of the United States Bonneville Power Administration's Maple .Valley Substation Site, N. 45° 07' 50" W. 70.6 feet from the most westerly south corner of said Site, said corner being S. 1° 50' 30" W. 252.1 feet from the quarter section corner common to Sections 20 and 21, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W. M.; thence N. 42° 051 30" E. 970.8 feet to a point in the easterly line of said Site, N. 34° . • >� 541 30" W. 10.3 feet from the most easterly corner of said Site. • Subject to the rights of Olympic Pipe Line Company to an easement for a 16-inch products pipe line and to the rights of the Puget Sound Power & Light Company to a permit for a power line. Reserving unto the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and its assigns, the right to erect and maintain one or more electric transmission lines over the easement area, but without any supporting structure or structures located in the easement area, It is understood and agreed that the CITY OF RENTON shall be liable for any damage to the property of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, including transmission lines and structures, arising out of or resulting from acts of the City. Of Repton!* :employees or agents acting within their authority in construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of said water line upon the property of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Should the rights acquired by the CITY OF RENTON by this easement no longer be y used or neecbdfor water line purposes, all rights granted by this easement shall terminate and revert to and revest in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. • • VOL 4id ' PAt 18 .
